Canon Point: The end of Empire Strikes Back after being frozen in carbonite. Instead of waking up to Leia telling him she loves him and kissing him he gets… Minneapolis.

Why did you choose this character?: Because there is absolutely no one cooler than Han Solo. I’ve been playing him in [livejournal.com profile] counted_stars for a few months now and he’s incredibly fun. I haven’t played him somewhere he can’t fly a ship though so that will… annoy him.
Give a brief idea of how your character will react to the setting: Definite confusion since his last memory will be being flash frozen in carbonite. Annoyance at the lack of space ships, Chewie, and Leia. General smuggler grumpiness. But he’s Han freaking Solo. He’ll adapt.

History: Wookiepedia.
Personality:Han Solo has had a really hard life. Things tend to not go well for him. He learned very early on that sticking out his neck for someone else was a good way to get his head lopped off. In theory, he's only looking out for himself. He wants to get paid, he wants to fly his ship, and he wants to keep on living. In practice, though, he has a tendency to care about people, even when it goes against his own interests. Once he's decided he's on someone's side, he's on their side for good. Some smugglers would sell out their own grandma. Han's not that type, though he also doesn't have a grandma to sell that he knows of. If he likes someone, he won't sell them out even if the money's good. He might claim he would, but if the opportunity came up, he wouldn't be able to take it.

He's also far from amoral. Sure, he'll do what he has to do in order to survive, and he's got no qualms about killing another sentient in a fight, or even shooting them first if they're talking about how they're going to turn his body in for a bounty. He's not the sort to kill someone in cold blood, though. In a fair fight, sure, but if a sentient is defenseless, it would just feel wrong. He also cannot abide slavery. He might turn away and ignore it when he feels there's nothing he can do to stop it, but he won't actively participate himself. Han ended up dishonorably discharged from the military when instead of punishing Chewbacca for not submitting to slavery to the empire, Han stunned his commanding officer and helped Chewbacca to escape. This is also why Chewbacca swore a life debt to Han, and soon the two became fast friends.

He's very good looking, and his bad boy attitude and lopsided grin can endear him to almost anyone. That being said, when he's in a foul mood, he doesn't do a particularly good job of hiding it. He doesn't ever show it if he's feeling lost or uncomfortable, though, especially in a strange place. No way he's going to admit to being at a disadvantage if he can help it. He'd rather bullshit his way through until he knows what he's doing, and blast his way through when that fails.

Han can be very charming when he wants to be, especially around women. He doesn't really have trouble finding girls to spend his days (or nights) with. He doesn't mind casual relationships, and in fact in many ways sometimes he'd prefer them. They're safer, less likely to get Han hurt. But when he does fall for a girl, he's pretty much willing to go to the end of the world for them. He'd put his own dreams on hold to stay near to them or take care of them. He'll go pretty far for money, but he does recognize that love is more important than cash.

He's an incredibly good liar and cheater, of course. He has to be, as a smuggler. He's also skilled at breaking and entering and stealing, at playing cards, and, of course, flying. He's cocky and completely lacking in false modesty. He knows how good a pilot he is, and he's not afraid to show it. He'll argue any price, even if the original is high enough that he'd be willing to accept it, but he's greedy enough to want more if he can possibly have it. He loves the Millennium Falcon, his ship, and he takes good care of it. Sure, she doesn't look like much, but she's very fast and great for smuggling. He's been through enough that so long as he's still got his ship and his friends, he can recover from anything. And though he may try to stick to his mercenary ways and ignore the right thing if the wrong thing pays more, there's only so much he can look away from, and in the end, he'll stick to what morals he has and to his friends.

First Person Sample: Anything here. Except the last one, which is a different Han.
Third Person Sample: Han woke up in a strange room without his blaster. Or any of his clothes.

"What the hell?" he muttered, standing up. For a moment he wondered if he'd frozen in the snowstorm on Hoth and this was either some weird hallucination or whatever it was that came after. But he didn't think he was dead.

After a bit of searching, he managed to find a datapad that apparently was meant for him. A bit more research showed him that he was on Coruscant, and apparently kidnapped by someone called "Revan." There was also some sort of political talk about "Outworlders" and "Revanites" that Han pretty much ignored. He may have helped out the Rebellion a few times, but that didn't make him any kind of politician. He could fight, of course, but that was a lot different.

What he couldn't find was any mention of the Empire. Strange.

He poked his head out of his room and found a droid with clothes. They weren't exactly his style, but they'd do until he found something better. He needed credits, he needed a blaster, and he needed more information. Then hopefully he could figure out what was going on and how he was going to get back to Hoth, his frostbitten friend, and his ship.

He strode out of the apartment confidently. No reason to let on that he didn't know what was going on, that would just be asking for trouble. And he had more than enough of that already.
